  • Parshuram kund is a very famous hindu  pilgrims site dedicated to lord parshuram.
  • On Makar Sankranti, it commemorates an annual gathering of pilgrims who visit the kund for a holy dip.

Kund Parshuram:
Within the Kamlang Reserve Forest, it is situated on the Brahmaputra Plateau in the Lohit River’s lower reaches. It is believed to be where the wise man Parshuram washed away his sins.

Importance Parshuram kund:

It is a sacred pilgrimage site for Hindus. Pilgrims from Nepal and neighboring states like Manipur and Assam visit the site annually.

 Lohit River:

Lohit is the easternmost tributary of the Brahmaputra River. The river flows roughly 200 kilometers from the Tirap Phasi Ranges in Eastern Tibet to Arunachal Pradesh before joining the Brahmaputra River in Assam.
The river’s name comes from its passage through the Lohit Basin’s red laterite soils. and hence it is given the name “the river of blood”.
