About C.V. Raman:

CV Raman or Chandra shekhar venkataraman, CV Raman was born at tiruchirapally in Southern India on November 7 1888.

He entered Presidency College Madras In 1902 and in 1904 passed his B.A examination after running a master’s degree in physics at Presidency College University of Madras in 1907.

In 1922, he joined the Indian government’s finance department as an accountant.

On February 28, 1928, he published the first of a series of studies on the molecular diffraction of light, which led to the discovery of the Raman effect with his collaborators.

which gained him the 1930 Nobel Prize in physics in 1933. In 1948, Raman became the head of the physics department at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, where he began investigating the spectroscopic behavior of crystals approached in a novel approach to the fundamental problem of Crystal Dynamics, among his other research interests are the physiology of human vision and the optics of colloidal electrical and magnetic anisotropy. He has received numerous honorary doctorates and memberships in scientific societies. Early in his career, he was elected a fellow of the Royal Society in 1924 and was knighted in 1929.

 for his Disclosure CV Raman was granted the Nobel Prize in physical science in 1930. he was also awarded the Bharat ratna in the year 1954. The first Asian recipient was CV Raman.
