WHAT HAPPENS AT EID UL ADHA?
Allow me to begin with a brief tale from the Holy Quran.
Sometime in the distant past, There was a prophet called Ibrahim. prophet Ibrahim was willing to do anything for his GOD. One day prophet Ibrahim had a dream that GOD asked him to sacrifice his only beloved son.
The prophet realized if God has asked him to do so there must be for a good reason. The next day prophet Ibrahim told his dream to his son the prophet Ismail.
Being an obedient son his said, “Do what GOD asked you to do”. Prophet Ibrahim laid his son down, prophet Ibrahim blind himself and ready to fulfill ALLAH commandment
This is how much faith the prophet Ibrahim has on Allah. He stressed his knife down. With the sad and heavy heart, he quickly removed his blindfold but he realized what was laying there was a sheep When he turned back he saw his son prophet Ismail was smiling at him and said,
”Allah Only tests the one he loves the most” And that’s why we sacrifice animals, to celebrate Eid ul Adha
