1. Navrat meaning in English

2. Navrat meaning in Sanskrit

In Sanskrit “Ra” implies what gives comfort, and “tri” alludes to the Tampa Traya, or the three types of afflictions or problems, suffering, the misery that comes to us in life.

Three types of problems in life

  1. On the physical level, the body or the climate, any agony, any sickness, any issue.
  2. the psychological level, in the brain, the idea level.
  3. on the causal level, which implies the previous impressions, the karmas, in the awareness.

So which gives comfort from all these things is what is ratri.

What is Navratri’s story?

There are two-story behind the Navratri festival:

  1. The main story is that during the hour of Navratri, Goddess Durga vanquished Mahishasur.
  2. the next story is that all the Vanar Sena (Monkeys), including Ram, Lakshman, and Hanuman, adored Goddess Durga from Ashvin Shukla Pratipada till the ninth (Navmi) and after that Lord Rama slaughtered Ravana on the tenth day.
  3. In this manner, the celebration of Dussehra is praised on the 10th day.

Why do we celebrate Navratri?

Navratri is where the sadhaks, the otherworldly searchers dive deep inside to rest, to become restored, become invigorated, and become liberated from every one of these torments, and start the year afresh.

What does Navratri symbolize?

So it is likewise contrasted with the nine months we spend in the belly of the mother, those nine evenings, where the kid is in the belly and it doesn’t need to do anything, it just goes inside, and it comes out new.

Why do you fast for Navratri?

So during this time individuals typically quick, they have light food, just natural products, squeezes, or light food. Fasting purifies the body and the mind. Then people keep silent, silence purifies our speech.

At that point they tune in to information, they talk about information, since information filters the intellect.

They sing reverential melodies, bhajans, that sanitize our feelings. So every one of these things, the pujas, the yagyas, the mantras, permits us to decontaminate ourselves,  go deep within, connect with the consciousness, and increase the prana shakti, raise our energy. And then throughout these nine days,

The initial three days are ruled by Maha Kali, which is the Adhisthata or the leader of Tamoguna, Tamas. So these days the Tamas energy is more. And afterward, we experience that, we love that, we honor that, we travel through that

By then the accompanying three days are related to Rajoguna, Maha Lakshmi, the Adhistha of Rajoguna. And then moving through the Rajas

the most recent three days we go to the Sattva, Maha Saraswati, so that at last toward the end when moving through all this,

What is the 9th day of Navratri called?

at the point when we have vanquished every one of these evil spirits, we have conjured the Devi, expanded the prana shakti, connected to the consciousness, and it has destroyed all these negative propensities, the most recent day is called Vijaya Dashami,

which is the day of triumph, where the Devi is successful over all the evil spirits and the divine beings celebrate. It is said that this is the greatest day to begin anything new in life.

What is the significance of Navratri?

Since when you practice this in the best possible way, what happens is that after these nine days of fasting, silence, meditation, of Satsang, your mind is so much right now, the sattva is so high, your energy is so high, you have so much lucidity so much peace, no craving, aversion, you are open, you are centered, and with that perspective, anything you start will be more effective.   So it is a wonderful chance to go inside, dive deep, and experience that Shakti which plaguing this entire creation, and that it might manage our life.

how to celebrate Navratri

Presently during this time, the Devi Mahatmya, sacred writing, is perused or recounted and recited in the pujas and yagyas, which discusses the Devi battling different devils and destroying those demons. Also, this has an extremely wonderful more profound importance, because the Devi speaks to the Shakti, the prana shakti, or the power of the consciousness, the energy. And these evil presences, if you see the names are extremely representative.
