In this article, we will see or learn all about the basics of computers or basic information technology (BIT).
Computer Organization (bit)
Computer Organization (bit) is where we study the system is configured, here we learn about the Computer Organization (bit) that how a system /computer devices are configured or organized are what peripheral devices are required.
Input unit:
Input unit a unit, input unit convert the command or instruction into the binary form so that it can be understood by the computer.
Examples: keyboard, mouse, light pen, etc
Functions of the input unit:
- Access the data instruction
- converts the data or instruction in computer acceptable form.
CPU Central Processing Unit:
CPU Central Processing Unit consists of a control unit and arithmetic logic unit (ALU)
arithmetic logic unit (ALU):
- Arithmetic and logic unit
- It is a past of the CPU to handle all calculations and logical action.
- Addition subtraction bit shifting.
(CU) control unit:
- CU is control unit is a Part of CPU,.
- which handles all processing control signals, and request signals and interrups.
- it directs all the input and output flow.
Storage unit:
- The storage unit is a memory or a storage placer where data and instruction are stored.
- Data and information that are entered into the computer system through input units have to be stored inside the computer before actual processing start.
- to store data or information or instruction we use two types of memories as per our requirement primary and secondary storage systems.
Functions of storage unit:
- stores The data and instruction.
- To store Intermediate results.
- also to store the final result after processing.
Output Unit:
output units are used to get an output i.e hardcopy or softcopy through the user of output devices like printers, monitors, etc.
